Hidden amoungst other tryouts where its 100 bucks in advance and 150 at the door the Bahama Pro Show has done something I have never seen in the last 3 years of the ABA, paid for travel to tryout. Now you have to be invited, its not gimme but this at least sounds as if they are running a real team here.

BAHAMA ALL PRO SHOW SETS TRYOUT CAMP

From http://www.abalive2.com/Top_Stories.html

Nassau, Bahamas. The ABA Bahama All Pro Show will hold the first in a series of Workout/Tryout Sessions as we seek to finalize our roster for our second season in the American Basketball Association (ABA) 2008-2009. These sessions are by invitation only and no walk-ups are allowed. All travel to the Bahamas and living accommodations while in the Bahamas will be covered by the team. The world famous Superclubs Breezes All Inclusive Resorts will serve as the host hotel for this session. Persons can email player resumes if they wish to be considered for the next session in November.

Sessions will be held Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 9am and 5pm and Sunday at 10am at the Doctors Hospital Fitness Center, Blake Road, Nassau, Bahamas. Local media houses will be in attendance on the Friday session only. Players are expected from Detroit, Dallas, Tampa, Orlando, Atlanta, Los Angeles and from all Bahama Islands.

For more information, email rbsmith@bahamallproshow.com or visit www.bahamallproshow.com or call 242 525 2257 or visit www.abalive.com.

FWIW, they actually made it to Texas last season. Six of them anyway.

It sounds like they actually might play in Bahamas this year. Prior years it some of the home games were in Miami.

Zeke41 has a good story about showing up to play them in Miami and they had one single hotel room for the entire Orlando team.
