Bottom line, this wont work. I have been involved with "owners" of various indoor football Teams. The problem that will lead to its downfall is thus:
1. Too many egos. Believe me I know...I have dealt with you know-it-all owners and all I know is that you all lost money last year, I dont care which league you were in. Try and tell me you didnt. So how does starting this league prepare you to make money? It wont. You will lose more money.
2. Not enough capatilzed owners. Better do more than let them put up 50K LOC. LOC is another falsehood. If your going to do a LOC make it a real LOC, like 250K. I bet not one in this league can put up 250K LOC in a blink.
3. Spread too far all over USA. Travel will kill this league. also no name towns comming in to play another no name town. Doesnt get the fan excitied in May or June or July. Katy vs. El Paso doesnt cut it. Regional play is still expensive and then there is workers comp issues. How many more home games do you need to lose more money? 8 , 10 , 12?
4. Not enough sponsorship dollars available. Have a national TV deal? A national Radio Deal. TV is changing next February, are you prepared?
5. Sizes of the cities/towns in the league are not equal in population. Sponsorship dollars will be different.
This league will be equivalent to "A" ball. AFL is major league, then AF2 ( only because AFL has %-age ownership) then the rest are "A" ball level.
Having a lot of teams in a league does what????
Its may be an OK idea on paper, but in reality wont work. You need to have cash and I mean disposable cash. You need radio and TV national exposure. You need a league sales force, money for 3rd Quarter 2009 is already allocated, where will you get yours? I can assure you that based on my personal dealings with some of these owners, they do not have the money to play in a real pro league that is well organized. Some may say that a 50K or 100K LOC means something, in reality it means nothing. The league is spread too far and has ownership that is borderline. The costs to produce your product is out-weighed by the expense. Your in the negative today already.
Wish you GOOD LUCK, you will need it. Thank you for letting me post. I hope this is read by the few owners I know that told me, they know what they are doing. They didnt. I hope you others do.

What is a REAL pro league to you, and where is it? 2) Dont know what you are talking about with the No one in this league can put up 250K in a blink of an eye.3) Katy will never play El Paso4) TV deal is in the works 5) Small to medium size city's is where they want to be. And final,,,,,the league IS set up for regional play if you would look at it closely. You might want to buy a Af2 team and lose about 500,000K with all the cost that these(IFL) teams dont have to have. Like an office on S Michigan ave.

The egos worry me, but not all that much. I imagine the UIF/InFL people will keep those in line.
I'd guess at least half the owners in the IFL could post a $250K LOC, but like you say, it doesn't accomplish a whole lot unless it's really written in there that only the league can pull said LOC.
The other points I can't argue with, but the IFL has a lot of the top organizations in the sport, so the issues are mitigated there a bit.

The ifl will have a strong year. The meetings proved one very important thing to me; accountability. Passion was very prevalent during the meetings too.lol Some could call that egos, which i am well documented in having.Overall, meetings were very strong.

With these teams that are on board and the OTHERS that are coming this is seting it's self up to be the premier indoor league. Corp deals in place and so on, no body else except the A2 will be able to compete. not even close. The regional play being set forth, the cost should still go down from last yr for some teams and there will not be any of these so called teams not showing up to play. League office and officials returning calls and getting answers, the IFL is the place to be, and franchises, that the league bring's in to play will NOT stay in the pockets of any certain person. It's called sharing to all the members.

The IFL will have a bad year if Saginaw and Muskegon don't get there crap together

No, the IFL will Dayton those two and move on. Due diligence also shows competence at the league level after-the-fact.

The only difference being that the IFL won't wait until just before the season starts to do it. If Saginaw and/or Muskegon don't meet the requirements, you should see something happen sometime over the next month or so and before the schedule ever gets released.

No one will be in the IFL from the cifl without a hefty loc, over 50k,. When or if the candidates can make that qualification, acceptance will be complete. Until then lets take a wait and see attitude.

The Wichita owner is self-financing his own arena. As long as oil is what it is now, he can sell a few barrels to get that.
