Looks like Jim needs to sue the someone, anyone to get money for this lawsuit. Oh and by the way, someone ask him how things are coming in Williamsport.

A former head coach of the Lehigh Valley Outlawz is suing the professional indoor football team and owner James DePaul for $350,000, claiming breach of contract and defamation of character.

Gregory Justice, who coached from September to January, says in the suit filed Monday in Northampton County Court that he was suspended from his coaching duties without justification.

Justice, who lives in Reading, also says his character was defamed in an Outlawz news release dated Feb. 21 that accuses him of "dishonesty, violations of team rules and tampering with player contracts," according to the suit.

The suit says Justice is now a player with the Baltimore Mariners, but he is listed on the team's Web site as the offensive line coach.

The Mariners are part of the American Indoor Football Association.

The Outlawz played last season in the Continental Indoor Football League, but they have applied for admission to the new Indoor Football League. Their home games are played at Lehigh University's Stabler Arena.

Efforts to reach DePaul on Monday evening were unsuccessful. He did not immediately return a message left at the Outlawz office.

:) How can you not love the drama?
JD's antics are priceless.
He should be using his unique talents and resources
to try and get TNT as his national flagship TV partner.
They have the perfect logo already....

I believe Justice's suit is, at least partially, in relation to this February 21 press release from the Outlawz:

Oh, I'd say so. The IFL will have a lot of work to do, getting those owners to meet even their relatively low professionalism standards. Press releases like that...probably wouldn't be met with approval from the IFL.

So basically, everyone owes you money from everything you've ever done.

You sure that they're not crooked and you're just a tool?

Talk about profesionalism...

Um... this from the owner of a "professional" team that hangs out on a fan message board talking smack about lawsuits.

Right.

I think the IFL needs to concentrate on the areas where it is already in -- the midwest, Texas, Louisiana and Rocky Mountain states. In other words, don't mess with the east coast. Yes the CIFL and AIFA are less than perfect, but they are better suited for the east.

That press release said that the Baltimore Blackbirds only had money to play a few games? I looked on The Stat Guys website. They "played" all of their scheduled games.

They did, and there were a couple added. The Blackbirds were removed from AIFA ownership when they started to inquire about changing leagues.
