Does anyone know anything about the new WBA team in Newport News Virginia? The season will be starting in three months and there has been no news.

NO news, at all. On a related note, Norfolk is supposed to have teams in the WBA AND the ABA, both with no news, no websites, no arenas, no signed players, and as far as anyone here knows, no owners either. Is the WBA just a summer version of the ABA?

The WBA is a spring league based out of Atlanta,GA entering their second season of play. They had a moderately successful first season; one team (in East Tennessee) folded, but the others completed their schedules; most teams seemed to average around 1000 fans per game,but one team, the Jackson(MS) Rage, averaged 4000 fans.
