After the successful signing of new point guard Dougie Heywon to the Utica Wreckers roster, the three-time, two-league championship basketball franchise is ready to reclaim ABA glory with the signing of Janos Skorzeky, a 6'11" power forward that previously played professional basketball at Skoda Plzen BC, one of the top basketball squads in the Czech Republic.
"I heard about this guy Skorzeky for a long time," said Wreckers team owner Michael Tuckman, "and when I found out he was available, I knew we had to sign him. This star from the Czech Republic can score with the best of them, and is one of the league's best dribblers and ball handlers."
Skorzeky, known as the "Bouncing Czech," will begin play with the Wreckers this season. "This is definitely the first 'Bouncing Czech' that will be good for the ABA," said Tuckman.
