Upfront, I have to tell you: I'm sick of the whole Brett Favre fiasco. He should have stay retired or committed to play from the start (even if he had to admit he needed some extra time to rest, which is all this is really about).

Nonetheless, as we see Brett drive off in his Escalade, I think it would be a genius move for Mark Cuban to call him right now to offer him a spot on his UFL team. It's not like Cuban couldn't pay the salary. Why it makes sense:

1. It solidifies that the UFL is definately a "go" next year.
2. It gives Favre a year to rest his body. Maybe he's got two more years in him.
3. It gives the Packers a year to see if Rodgers has the stuff, so they can move on if he doesn't.
4. It gives the UFL a ton of free publicity.

Even if Favre declined, it still gives the UFL some free ink. Can't be a bad idea.

Great idea!

Sure beats the AHL Iowa Chops and SL Huntsville Stars offers :D

All we need now is that EIFL criminal to anchor the rebirth of his league with Favre.

We had a Wichita Eagle columnist calling for Favre to play for the IFL Wichita Wild.

I'd rather see him play for Team Mississippi of the AAFL.

OK, here's my backup plan: Cuban buys the Jets and moves them to L.A. in the UFL.
