Baker Resigns!

Is anyone else surprised by this announcement? I was sure that Baker would continue as the Commish for a few more years. Anyone have any information on why he resigned or why he resigned the weekend of ArenaBowl? The timing seems kinda odd to me too.

The timing tells me Baker was "offered the opportunity to resign." I doubt it was complete voluntary.

That's what I figured as well. Walk out with your head held high, or we'll 'fire' you from the position. It always looks better to resign for personal reasons than to be fired. From any job.

Unless you want to claim unemployment.
