Went to the website of this Canadian-based start-up indoor football league, and noticed that they are scheduled to start play NEXT MONTH.
Yet, it doesn't seem like much recent news has come out of this league, and I know the www.indoorfootballfan.com guys have tried to contact the league to give them some coverage, and have received no replies to their calls and e-mails.
We have some intelligent sports guys from Canada on this board, so I'd love to hear from you. Is this league going to make it to "post time"?

If you go back a few pages on this message board you will find my thread about the league. Last thing I heard was the NAIFL had a November "drop-dead" date. I contacted a few arenas and they had set aside dates but nothing solid. My guess is this league is dead. Their sponsership banner that runs on the teams page has never had another ad placed on it since the website went up. I am truly disappointed as I wanted to see Arena Football in Saskatoon. But I wouldn't be surprised based on the weird workings of this league, if it turns into the ABA of Arena Football. Meaning that a week before the date on the website, they will announce the official schedule and all the staff for all the teams. Then a week later half the teams will move to other cities and it will go like that.
"Shootmaster" is our OSC resident who usually gives us the latest info on the NAIFL... If I recall correctly.. His last news put the NAIFL still in the "wait and see" catagory... I also would think if there was any good news via the Canadian newspapers he would have let us know...
Paul must have seen something in the AIFL that he did not see in the NAIFL.. Otherwise we would have had links to the league...
Oh well... My Electric Football League is cautiously optomistic about the league.. And if I get desperate enough to paint some new teams..
It'll become part of my league whether it comes to reality or not.. :D
