With the announcement of the Peoria Rough Riders, UIF now has all of its teams named. The league also announced its schedule today. One other interesting note is that the NIFL has removed the UIF teams from its website. Perhaps they are letting them go without a fight?

Well, maybe the fights were all private, and they all failed?

No, no and no. (1 no to Paul, two to Exit)

I'd like to just discuss football, but that won't happen for awhile.

I'm interested to hear what people have heard. On the outside, it looks as if the NIFL, a league formed when a group of owners withdrew from another league, may not wish to pursue the fleeing UIF teams. Does the NIFL believe the ten teams will play in the NIFL this year if they are able to bar them from UIF, or is the intent to simply stop UIF cold? What grounds does the NIFL have to stop them from leaving?

One bigger question might be who holds the arena contracts in each city, the NIFL or the individual team? If the NIFL owns them, must they field a team in order to hold onto them?
