2009 AFL Expansion

Does anyone have information, not speculation, on future AFL Expansion or relocations. I.E. will Grand Rapids move to Minnesota or stay put. All replies welcome.

The AFL holds their inner workings very close to the vest
like they were dealing in top secret documents or something.
Hell, it's a major coupe for the fans when some unsuspecting
insider leaks the AFL rulebook to the public.

However, one can make an educated guess that in this current
economic climate, dishing out $20mil for an AFL franchise is just
plain fiscally irresponsible. Erego, no expansion.

Unless the AFL ownership collectively accepts the fact that their
"investments" are not worth the ludicrous $20 mil price tag and
start accepting offers for at least half that or less, expect
CONTRACTION as the norm over the next few years. You will
see more teams opting for a move down to AF2 a la Austin.

I haven't heard a thing, but I would love to see GR moving to the Target Center, but I doubt that will happen. For some reason people think it is stupid to even try again here in the Twin Cities. But hell, even the old Fighting Pike had better crowds then the Rampage (as well as half the teams that got second or even third chances).
