Which 8 players would be the best for a slam dunk contest? I know that usually only the All Stars compete in the contest, but here is who I would love to see compete.
- Donell Harvey (Sioux Falls, a freak athlete that won the McDonald’s slam dunk contest a few years ago)
- Ronnie Fields (Rockford, unbelievable vertical, but past his prime and he is hurt this year)
- Paul McPherson (Gary, this guys is an unreal athlete)
- Alpha Bangura (Sioux Falls, he might get up faster than any other player in the league. He put on a show last night in Bismarck)
- Chris Porter (Dakota, he is an entertainer; so I’m sure he’d come up with something special)
- Melvin Sanders (Dakota, athletic and a good dunker)
- DeAnder Hulett (Michigan, he is long, lankey and athletic. He didn’t play a lot when I saw Michigan play)
- Darrin Handcok (Gary, this guy is really past his prime, but he did win the McDonald’s slam dunk contest in High school. He might have something left.

I would put my money on Paul McPherson. Too bad a few of these guys won’t be at All Star weekend this year. But this is a great group of dunkers. Are there any players that I've missed that should be on this list?

I agree with your choices. I think Chris Porter would do awesome cause he is so athletic and always energizes the crowd.

If Ronnie Fields was in his prime, Paul would have literally ZERO chance. None... you can't even make a case for anybody else. In fact, you'd just have Ronnie dunking by himself.

That being said, McPherson would take it easy today. He's a springboard.
