Skyhawks need better starting pitching. Rogars now has started 5 games with no wins. Most of his games he hasn't made it out of the 4th inning. Lanier needs to make a move either move someone from the pen or make a roster move. Any thoughts on the subject?

im sorry michael, but you stink, skyhawks provide you with 8 runs and you give up ten, scoring 8 runs sohuld be a win. i think hal certainly has something up his sleeve, maybe he could attract a guy from winnipeg or joliet, oh say aaron jackson or dustin pease, from winnipeg, is there anyway we can take them from winnipeg. or nate sevier or aaron trolia from joliet.

Sussex also had a 5-2 lead, but in a slugfest like last night, there's not much a team can do but out hit the other. Honestly, besides who won or lost, it was a very entertaining game.

Skyhawker The four pitchers you name will be difficult to make a trade for. All are pitching very well for their respected teams. Skyhawks would have to give up some very good players in return to get them and I don't think we can afford that.

ok so we all know that sussex needs some pitching help. lets make a few realistic trade proposals here and rate them, tell eachother what we think.
here could be one.....
UTIL nick Vardaro, P eddy roberts, P eddy Benitez to joliet for util steve garrabrants, P tyler meigs N P kevin altman

Skyhawker, Your proposed trade would definitely benefit the Skyhawks but I don't think Joilet would agree to the trade. Why would they take pitchers with eras of 8+ and 10+ and a field player batting under 100? With the stats our player have, they are basically untradable. I think our best bet is to get the players due us from earlier trades (players to be named later) and release the players we have that are unproductive. On another note, it seems like we need to regroup with our offense. Where did the bats go????

It looks like some roster moves are in the works. Checking the website, C - Hackney and Bart Braun Jr are not on the roster anymore. No new players have been posted yet. Will have to wait for the transactions to be posted later today.

if all these transactions have been noticed here, but no update in the can am site, then could it be???? The savior... Matt Bishop is coming back.. possibly making his first start tonight??? whos going to the game?? i am, i will see the new players, and report back here as to who they are. other wise maybe its jsut bishop and lawyer coming off the DL, and besides we dont need a back up catcher anyway.... Yohanny is the man, and vardaro has been doing bullpen catching, we will eventually get a backstopper, but for now it looks like yohanny won't be getting any breaks.

Great win last night!!! A 'W" is a 'W', it doesn't matter how its gotten. Checking both the Sussex and Can-Am rosters, Marsden is now gone also. That leaves 9 active pitchers and only one catcher. Hopefully today some new bodies show up in uniform.

there are new players on the team, number 6 and number 9, there were in uniform for the game last night. number 9 is a pitcher, not sure where he is from, and number 6 is a C/IF from new york tech.

Disappointed!!!! Yes, disappointed to put it mildly in the latest roster moves by the Skyhawks management. The pipeline from the Northern league needs to cease. We don't need anymore starting pitchers who can't give us atleast 5 quality innings. Remember we still have one (Rogars) who can't make it out of the 4th. Why would you sign Mark Michael who in 2007 gave up 16 HRs in 18 games and had a strike-out to walk ratio of 59-50? Please help me understand this. If thats not bad enough, we have Rogars starting tonight against the 1st place team (Quebec) after sitting on a bus for 10 hours. Even the best pitcher would struggle under those circumstances.

yo, Hal, time to send out an SOS, get some of those connections connected, get rogers out of here!!!!!! 18 to 3 what was up with last nite, rogers last 2/3 of an inning giving up like 6 runs. bring in some real deal guys. dammit, call mike scott from your 1986 astros, he could prolly pitch better for u hal, than rogers. panizich that new catcher showed some nice batting, hitting gapper that was a lucky catch by the right fielder against NAshua the other nite.

What a difference a day makes!!! With good pitching on the mound it gives your team a chance to complete. Good win Skyhawks! Keep it going today.

Two impressive wins, yesterday 6/21 and today. Kudos to todays pitcher for holding Quebec to 2 runs. Don't know who pitched today because its too frustrating to listen to the game in french. Galvez was listed as the starter. Skyhawks have the talent to win, they just need to get the right pitchers on the mound. Great job by Snipp yesterday and the bats really came alive today.

Great job Salvato!!!! I think Hal should replace Rogars with Salvato. Salvato has had 2 great starts so far this season. Granted he lost the 1st game 1-0 but pitched very good, the offense was non-existent that game.

Two games above 500, way to go Skyhawks!!!!!! The offense has been on fire and the pitching hasn't been too bad either. Keep the winning streak alive. What is going on with Galvez and Rogars? Haven't heard or seen either one since Canada. Laluna and Douglas are keepers, the jury is still out on Michaels.

glavez i said to have a shoulder strain, likely to miss his next start, and rogers i have not heard about yet, more then likely, he will never see the starting rotation again, hahaha. 1. Ruwe 2. Salvato 3. Snipp 4. Michael 5. galvez/rogers probably???? we get those guys back from the DL, it would look something like this.......1. ruwe 2. bishop 3. galvez. 4. salvato 5. snipp!!!!!! wow that'd be an awesome five!!! with the run support that the skyhawks can produce, thats easy 3 wins out of of every five starts...... lets see 3/5 times 46 games in the second half, thats a record of 28-18!!!!!!

Was on the Sussex Homepage and noticed M Rogars was no longer on the roster. He must of been released to make room for Galvez coming off the DL.
Lets hope for a better start in the second half than the hole the Skyhawks dug for themselves in the first half. They have the players to get things done.

Afify is no longer on roster and has been replace by Justin Knoff. Knoff was resently released from El Paso (American Assoc.) Don't have any stats for this year but seemed to have OK stats in previous years. Anyone have info on Knoff? On another note, first game of 2nd half starts with a win!!!! Way to go Skyhawks.

finally, someone. And ok stats? ok?!?!!? Hes been good if not great! I think he will really help us. Now raise your hand if youve heard this, and now if we get Bishop back... right now I have to say my top 4 to make it to the playoffs are...
1. Quebec
2. Sussex
3. Worcester
4 New Jersey
I'm remaining calm, I dont think Atlantic city will make much more of a run, and Worcester has been slowing dow I just dont want this to be a repeat of 2006  So dont worry AC wont make it, and we will get going.

Skyhawk96 - Is Bishop ever going to play ball this season? Do you know why he is on the inactive list?
Lets hope Knoff can start a winning thrend tonight!!! Brockton had a big win last night against Worcester. We need the bats to get going. Maybe Laniers tirard last night opened some eyes and nobody is safe from being released if they continue to play this poorly.
