Byron Allen from Elkhart

Byron is a former teammate of mine from the East KY Miners...I was just wondering if anyone on here has seen him play for the Express. I'd like to know how he's doing!

Zeke - I've seen him play at all of the home Express games this year, and I love his physical play. He looks be be in good condition, and IMO gets quite a few minutes per game.....

Byron is playing quite well. He makes his presence known under the basket, and was a big reason the Express continued to win while Jarrod Lovette was injured.

That is good news. Byron is one of the nicest, compassionate big guys I've ever met. Unfortunately, for him, the Shaq rule was in full effect in the CBA. He always found himself in foul trouble because he was so much bigger and stronger than other players. I remember one game he got 2 fouls in a matter of minutes, and Coach Keathley shook his head, knowing Big B never gets a chance to play any extended minutes, and left him in. I think the refs got the picture...he didn't get the 3rd, and actually played a few minutes straight (which was a rare occasion).

If you ever get a chance to talk with him after the game, and can remember, tell him Mark King from the Miners said hi...and tell him he better call me if he wants to do Disney World with his family because my guest room rental rates are going up with the economy!!!HAHAHA...kidding!

Thanks for the updates, guys. I have a "Where are they now" section on my website - www.thecrossoverbasketball.com - where I try an update people on the whereabouts of the first Miners team! Perhaps I can add a quote from a Racers fan...that would be pretty neat, if anyone wanted to give me one!
