Raiders did not receive a call until 930 this morning about the cancellation.

But of course, it's not the league's fault...

It is the league's fault, even though all my CIFL sources have told me they were confirmed that Flint *would* show up.

Another interesting rumor from some sources - I have heard the Raiders have left the CIFL, effective immediately. I believe Marion has been sent that message, as they may well be preparing for a trip to Saginaw now. There might be something on the CIFL board confirming this, as well.

Yeah the Raiders are done. Plenty slices of the "blame pie" to go around on this mess.

I think it all goes back to the requirements of getting into the league, the league enforcing the rules, making schedules where the weaker teams play at home so as not to screw the stronger team with this type of stuff. Having a real league commissioner might help to, who can field calls at 2:30 am, work on contingencies, etc.

The 2:30 AM isn't a problem...it's the 8:30 AM that usually gets them. :-P

You are right on the other stuff, though if the contingencies et al are worked out, the scheduling issue isn't one.

Guys we lost 1/6 th of the sponsorship money for the year with refunds that we have to pay back,1/6 th of season tickets. When it adds up to over 25k and all that im asking back is the security deposit that i already paid? come on... they say no...No apologies from the league; the question they asked me are you in or not?....joke...

blanketman = joke

Announcing a new team in Buffalo in a 'rival' league prior to even finishing your current season is a joke. Not having a contingency plan in place when everyone knew Flint was a dead man walking. Going postal on a message board to flame the league rather than handling matters like an ADULT.

The CIFL is better without Rochester than with Rochester. Your ego shines through so well today.

Actually, you should know your facts...there have been no official releases on the AF2 team in buffalo from Bob. Who ever started it on the CIFL board was not supppose too and then people just started talking. It was not even suppose to be leaked to the BuffaloNews when it was.

I feel for you Bob.

Time to sue! That is the only way to stand up for yourself!

lol, im good right now. The competition is hopefully very good. We get top play coley, hackett and walton on the same field at once. We will see who we face in the championship game. Players are ready.

Who are the three regularish season opponents? I'd like Erie, Reading, Wyoming, myself, as that's the class of the AIFA...but knowing those knuckleheads you'll get Baltimore, Florida and Baltimore again.

Or maybe will get flint, stuebenville, and springfield;lol,no i think they are giving us Erie ,utah and Baltimore as a warmup then whomever is the Champion in the Unified american indoor bowl. They are recognizing are team as the best from the cifl.Hopefully will win that championship. Press conference is scheduled on Friday with John Morris. Contracts are completed in principle ;long day.

Those last two make sense - the AIFA should send their personal teams to Rochester since they've made their own championship useless...and Erie is the closest AIFL team to the Roc.

Sykotyk Well at least he didnt "LEAK" news about the OTHER cifl teams that have applied to move UP next yr. Does BOB have the stacks to have 2 TEAMS next yr and or is he going to lend Mr ??? money for them to move up?

You know, it really is annoying the way you try to leak info without actually saying anything yet you still imply that you, and only you, know what's going on in these leagues.

Lucas should have been kicked out of the CIFL last year but the team did well on the field and the league didn't have the stones to do it. Closest team to Rochester and a competitive one at that, the Raiders would have left last season if the Surge had been booted, like they should have been.

Lucas doesn't have the coin for af2, at least if he does, he wasn't giving any of it to the league per his contractual obligations, and we all know about the rumors of players not getting paid, although you're the only one still talking about it.

::my god why do I even bother reading this drivel anymore::

And i am not talking about it anymore,,,,,,,,,,,,Just waiting for him to say where he is applying to play next yr then more will come out. But yes u are right again league doesnt have the STONES, neither of those guys do. And raiders the only one to pay the 10,000. How do the brothers explain that. Waiting to hear this one. Oh yea, the other owners DIDNT have the money.
