The Nashua Pride completed the sweep of the Rapidz in Ottawa Thursday afternoon with a 2-0 victory. It was the second shutout of the series. The Pride allowed only three runs in the three games.

After shutting down Ottawa 1-0 on Tuesday, Nashua won 6-3 on Wednesday night. Lance Stevens won his second game of the season while Adam Hawes was the loser dropping to 1-2.

The Rapidz did not get their first hit until the sixth when Bouchard lead off the inning. Ottawa could have been shutout for a second straight night if not for a Pride error and Kyle Geiger. Their only runs came in the seventh as after one out, third baseman Joffrion made an error on Milons. Bergeron then walked. After Pirman struck out for the second out, Geiger hit his third home run, leading the team and put Ottawa on the board. The Rapidz hit into three double plays on this night.

Stevens was solid going seven innings, allowing just two hits but four walks, striking out seven. Andrew Weimer earned his third save.

On Thursday, Hookey Day at Rapidz Stadium, Ottawa bats stayed silent against Nicolas Suero. Ottawa's biggest threat came in the fourth inning when two consecutive hits came after two outs. The Rapidz were able to collect only seven hits on a beautiful afternoon with 3165 on hand. Pride pitchers allowed no walks and the defense turned one double play to end a potential threat in the ninth.

The game was scoreless until the sixth when Escalona made an error leading to an unearned run. The Pride's second run was in the eighth. Vinny Pennel got two of Nashua's six hits who also took advantage of four walks by Rapidz pitchers.

Ed Nottle made many changes to his lineup. On Wednesday night, he switched Bergeron from fifth to fourth with Pirman. On Thursday, with Felix Escalona making his Rapidz debut (he played with the Lynx in 2003 while in the Orioles organization), Jose De los Santos lead off, Infante moving from eighth to second. Lemieux batted eighth on this day with Bouchard, the DH, ninth. Escalona batted seventh and went 1-for-3.

Suero was the winner with Weimer earning another save. Starter Noel Baca was charged with the loss despite pitching well allowing only one earned run on four hits and three walks in 7.2 innings.
