The ARHA plans to start play with a 2010-11 season that will include 20 teams in 4 geographic regions. The web site [www.proarha.com] states that the ARHA was established to bring a true professional mindset to the sport of inline hockey. The ARHA takes issue with the Professional Inline Hockey Association (PIHA) and its requirement that players basically have to pay to play. The ARHA proposes to be a true professional league.
