GBA and WGBA Executive Suddenly Retires!!
(Atlanta, Georgia) (May 22, 2008)- The GBA-the Global Basketball Alliance and the WGBA-the Women’s Global Basketball Alliance, sadly announce that Managing Member and Executive Don “Moose” Lewis has suddenly retired from the sports business. After great strides in building up various sports enterprises and a banner year ahead, Mr. Lewis leaves the company immediately. Persons interested in joining either organization are urged to contact the leagues immediately.
States Moose Lewis, “This is certainly disappointing to me personally. It is no secret that I have been having health problems over the last two years but I really believed that I was winning the battle. However, after a follow up visit to my physician, I was told that more intense treatment, surgical procedures, and daily medication was needed in order for me to try to have a chance of a full life. Unfortunately, this will leave me somewhat disoriented and weak, thus not allowing me to properly perform my daily duties. The business of sports has been my life and I have made many friends both in person and through the internet. To my male friends and associates, I urge you to see your doctor for a yearly physical-and to have your colon and prostate examined so that you can identify any potential health hazard. I hope someone will step forward to continue my work and I wish all of you the best of luck and life.”
