To the Vermont Frost Heaves Fans:

I just wanted to thank you personally for the wonderful support you've provided to the Frost Heaves' for the past two years. The ABA's goal is to provide exciting, fan-friendly, affordable professional basketball. You have been a wonderful example of how basketball fans will support the right product. I had the opportunity to spend a couple of days in Vermont during the All-Star Game and came away very impressed with the community and overall attitude. You embody everything the ABA is all about. While we are not happy that the team chose to leave the ABA,I wanted you to know that should the decision be made later by this owner or some new one to return to the ABA, you would be welcomed back. And thanks also to the sponsors and community organizations that supported the team.

You are all to be commended. Good luck.

Joe Newman
ABA CEO

whom ever is the sucker that wants to put a team in Vermont especially in Barre or Burlington needs to get tarred, feathered and then used as bait for the Lake Monster or be a victim of a cow being tipped over on them.

Emphasis mine... and I think it means Joe's got a sucker lined up to try to run in Vermont in '08.

This, of course, will be a mistake.

You may have missed one or two:

Cabot Creamers (the town has one of the best dairys in the US, good cheese and the best butter I have tasted).

Bennington and Jerrys

St. Albans Processors (The NHL used this town to process paperwork for their Canadian players in the US for years)

Green Mountain Coffees

Green Mountain Boys

and the Lake Champlain Loons. They can play on a time-share houseboat and invite the fans each game to "Spot the Looney".
