The ABA's Baton Rouge team changed their name to the CAJUN PELICANS!!!! LOL That has got to be the absolute worst nickname for a team EVER!!! That ranks right above the Fighting Pike & Tourists!

The worst name ever is still the Memphis Pros of the original ABA.

I like it. It reeks of minor league sports. As for bad team names, I'd say number one has to be the St. Louis Believers of the NIFL.
