I understand that the Chicago Bulls forward Lou Deng did not show up for his night at the Genesis. Well maybe Gary should have a obama night, he will be campaigning in Indiana for two weeks, in fact maybe they should host a debate before the game with hillary.

How about that Ken? I'm sure Jewell Harris knows obama. In fact let obama throw out the 1st ball,,,, well on second thought, after seeing him bowl, that might not be a good idea. The ball might end up rolling down Broadway Ave.

Lou Deng was too injured to play for the Bulls around the time of his big night at the Genesis Center, so he was too injured to make a personal appearance in Gary as well. It wouldn't look right to the Bulls front office and probably wouldn't feel right to Lou Deng (depending on how serious his injury was). Deng has made a few appearances at Steelheads games in the past. It's no big deal. He is rescheduled for June.

Good idea. However, the Steelheads are on the road until May 17th and the Indiana primaries are May 6th. Obama has already made an appearance at my old high school's (Gary Roosevelt) 3,000 capacity gym. Hillary Clinton is due to speak somewhere in Gary in the near future. Maybe SHE will have a photo-op with Steelie. Who knows?!?

Oops! Too late. Hillary stopped for a photo-op at the ballpark's restaurant instead of the Gary Genesis center.

Hey! That's the bar I hangout at before, during, and after baseball games. If she reaches down where she's standing, right there at the greeter's desk, she can pick-up a Steelheads schedule.

She started the night working a crowd of invitation-only supporters at Bennigan’s restaurant at the U.S. Steel Yard in Gary. The lively patrons lined up with camera phones and political paraphernalia in hopes of grabbing pictures and autographs of the presidential hopeful.

Invitation only?!? I didn't know she was going to be hanging around Bennigan's. Glad I didn't go there for the Friday afterwork set. Besides, looks like she's blocking access to my favorite booth. LOL.

Wow, senator clinton in Gary indiana. thats shows how desparate she is to win.

On a another more positive note, I was flipping through my T.V. this afternoon, and could not believe what I was seeing, the IBL game between Elkhart and Las Vegas. The play by play was great actually, the cameras were great, and replays were well done. I have to find out exactly what channel it was because I had to leave. My guess is it was in the entire Chicago market, and suburbs because I live 40 miles north of Chicago.

I have been a tough critic of the ibl, but my hat goes off to them on this, this was great to see. Hopefully this channel will do more of these.
