Looks like the WBA website is down? Their website doesn't expire until July.

Maybe it's just a server down?? Or something else??

Bad timing considering their tryouts were this weekend. Even more so considering there aren't many team websites up to beging with.

Maybe it was one of those monthly server limits? Who knows....it's still bad timing and they haven't updated it in a while.

I didn't know this league was even round anymore......What are the chances that they'll play this year?

No idea, but check out this list of cities all of a sudden:

Buford, Ga
Holly Springs, MS
Macon, GA
Marietta, GA
Palm Coast, FL
Rome, GA
Tri-State (Website link WAY wrong)
Wilson, NC

I don't know if any of these teams have websites. I swear they shouldn't even bother listing websites that don't exist they'd be better off putting up the page themselves on the league website with location and schedule. Don't even bother with local websites.

And no schedule by the way. Season starts in one month.

Last year they also 'played' in Wilson. A good friend of mine is the advertising and marketing director at the local newspaper and he never had heard of them before, during or after their season last year.

With that being said, they have a very good facility for minor league basketball there. Could it be a success? Maybe...it will have to fight with the Carolina Mudcats, Wilson Tobs, Kinston Indians and other activities that for sponsorship dollars. Unless of course they don't plan on that part of the revenue stream.

If there is a team in Wilson, wish them the best of luck.

Rome,Ga huh? You mean the city that I live in? I must have missed all of the articles in the paper, and TV/radio spots for the team.......

The owner is "TBA," there's no friggin website....The last owner got throw in the slammer and embarrassed us all, thank you Mrs. Brown! Nobody in Rome will ever take a team seriously again.

I wish the WBA would just give it up.

Looks like "The Critters" have invaded Wilson (NC). Some of the other WBA team links have the Buford Majic (a previous WBA nickname), Marietta Storm, Mississippi Hardhats, Palm Coast (FL) Blue Waves, VA,KY,Tn (Tri-State) Crusaders, Rome (GA) with the Gladiators' logo and Macon (GA) with no nickname.

Will they pay their officials this season? That is my only concern.
