I was IM'd by Indoor Weekly. He wanted to remind me to listen to his radio program today. I pointed out that he was in fact trying to sell something to me, since his radio show charges $5.00. He hung up before I could tell him to add me to his "DO NOT CALL" list. He is now on my blocked list.

Yes, they can be a bit pushy at times.
Yes, I'm being nice.

I don't understand how that works? Is it some kind of web-cast thing?
Anyway, it does seem like the people at Indoor Football Weakly are overtaking this board. It's not like they are paid advertisors, so can't the modertors just delete them?

There is a fine line between appropriate and inappropriate promotion on this board. As a moderator, I try to follow Paul's lead. It's his site afterall.
IFW may be going a bit overboard with multiple threads... but at least it is about Indoor Football, so it is on topic.
The thread about selling football equipment is "on topic", and not a big problem since it doesn't happen all the time, although if everyone selling football memorabilia on Ebay were to start posting here, we'd have to crack down.
Paul has stated that he doesn't want this board used to discuss fantasy football. There are plenty of other places to do that. But does not object if someone announces a league they are forming based on Indoor/Arena football, or intended for fans of Indoor/Arena football.
FWIW, as a moderator, I would rather see IFW limit his multiple posts to a single thread, but I'm not going to intervene unless it gets "out of hand" or Paul gives me some specific guidance.
