And all the other teams in their division have two losses as well.
Seems to me the B.crushers are just keeping pace.

But the other teams in their division still haven't played the Bonecrushers at all yet, so right there are 4 more games that could possibly separate the other teams from them if they're playing that badly. I think more teams from the shrinking UIF should come to the CIFL so that there would more local rivalries (for example Rock River vs Bloomington or River City). This would of course also put more than 3 teams in the division.

Bloomington, if they leave the UIF, seems destined to guarantee bankruptcy in the AF2.

The UIF is not doing well

I think teams in the UIF should join the CIFL

Like Wichita, Sioux Falls, Sioux City, River City, Bloomington, Omaha, Billings, etc

Colorado should just fold if they can't find an owner

The problem with that is there are alot of teams in the uif that may not be financially capable in any league. Everyone west of the mississippi knew the problems in omaha, river city, and fort collins. The california owner helped in ahuge fashion.Having a ton of teams, just for rivalry sake, will not help either league. The uif will survive they just have to get through a tough patch. The cifl has to make this year their solidifying year. Making it through the year with: no replacement players;folded teams;and quality statistics should be top priority. That said the cifl is off to a good start.

I think if there are going to be any league mergers, it will be the UIF/IFL. Their joint championship game already says that the two can work together.

I agree with you .Quite frankly, it will be good for both leagues. When your league gets down to seven or eight teams thats not good either.Obviously, quality is more important than quantity in indoor football;however, you need both to legitimize a league. The ifl/uif merger makes sense .

Flint and Fort Wayne will probably fold in the CIFL and the Bonecrushers might if they don't get better support

Flint and Fort Wayne will probably fold in the CIFL and the Bonecrushers might if they don't get better support Support? From who, the front office who have NO idea on how to recruit or hire a coach to win? What is the problem up there. Just ANOTHER glory filled SEMI PRO TEAM. They SUCK still and havent won yet. So it looks like I do know what I am talking about, huh!

Let the UIF and IFL get together... I hope the CIFL doesn't expand west of the Mississippi River. I much prefer a regionally compact league (like the Great Lakes...)

Yes it would be nice to keep the league more compact to keep traveling distances down, but there are also alot of cities that could also get teams into the CIFL (for example Madison WI, Indy, Peoria, etc). It's good for a league to have close rivalrys as long as the teams are competetive and not a joke of a team. The game last week between Rock River and Chicago was awesome, not only was it a good game on the field but there was also good fan support for both teams since the 2 teams are within easy driving distance of each other. The league needs to expand if it wants to become the premiere indoor league. But the expansion has to be slow and steady and make sure they dont just grow to be growing but that they do grow by adding good quality teams.

All east of the Miss.

Sounds good to me.

Ummm....Peoria's in the Empire again, folks. Dont be a hater just because PEORIA has a better team, than all the others City's mentioned. Empire or not they are real players. What would happen if they went up against the FOAMcrushers or any other teams in the area?

What does it matter? Good organizations will draw fans regardless of what league they're in.

The AF2 name hasn't done squat for an awful lot of teams they've got.

"2375" in Lexington? At the rate the Horsies inflated attendance in the UIF, there might have been 1500 there.

The Pirates still had far greater attendance in the IFL than they could ever manage in the "far better" AF2, even though the AF2 probably does have somewhat better talent (even though at least 95% of fans going to a game wouldn't know the difference).

$41 for a sideline ticket in Peoria or $12 for a sideline ticket in Marion...or $27 in Rock River (which is still too high for my tastes)...why waste all that extra money for a name and nets that make end zone seats worthless, when it's cheaper for a group of four to travel from Peoria to Rockford to get the same exact seat...even with $3+ gasoline.

No one's doubting the AF2 has a better talent level, because they pay far too much for it. But their business model sucks, and they can't figure out why.

I mainly said "Empire" because I am expected to.

I am encouraged by their win over Lexington; a playoff bid could indeed be a possibility.

Agreed.

It seems popular recently to forecast the UIF's demise by next year. I don't see it happening. It may happen years later, but next year the UIF will be back. What it will look like is up in the air.

AF2 seems to be the strongest of all the leagues (excluding AFL). Intense is probably the strongest of the indoor leagues. The AIFA seems the weakest of the indoor leagues, but that doesn't mean they will be the first to go. The CIFL has improved from last year so far. It will be another interesting off-season.

I was shocked when I heard 2300 . . .

FW and Lex both started in the same year, and despite a world of difference in ownerships Lexington continues it's downward spiral at an even greater rate than FW. Rupp was like a morgue when they had 5,000 people in it, I can't imagine what it's like now. OR, maybe I can!

Hello . . . hello . . . ello . . . llo . . . lo. . . o

Lenny said he didn't mind losing money on the Horsies as long as fans supported the team.
I doubt 2300 is what he invisioned with new lower ticket prices.

I remember that feeling of almost being able to hear an echo there when I visited in 2005. Just imagine if they opened those blue curtains hiding the upper part of the arena, then it'd really look sparse.

I hope the Horsemen can survive...always liked them as an org.
