I was watching the game yesterday between the Tycoons and the Kebs and I was enjoying it until the guy mention Houston. He stated that Texas had to play other teams in other leagues because teams like Houston, West Texas and others didnt have enough players to play. I sat back and said t myself, wow!!!!!!!!
I dont know what it was abut the second half of my schedule but it seemed that no one in my division wanted to play me anymore. Why, well I can only assume that with the Tycoons this year knew I had their number and after their first and only lost against us they knew it as well. Charles and I are still good friends and nothing will change that because I know this wasnt his call. And West Texas, well we all knew they were suspect from the jump. They blamed the fact when we couldnt make the trip because of the weather, they werent playing us again, period. I had talks with Paul about that.
But there were four games that I was looking forward to at the end of this season and it had the Tycoons name on it. Games that could at least salvage this crazy and embarrasing season. But all I heard from them were excuses not to come down or go up to play us. The last game really hurt because I really wanted a shot to represent the South and quiet all the lies. And then to help push the Semi Pro movie which had giveaways for the fans. Some people thought I folded but that wasnt the case. When we were preparing for the Bahamas team, the day before the game we found out that they are heading up to play the Tycoons for 2 games and immediately I said, what the hell. I dont know my friends what to say about this season. I just know that it grew another head and formed something crazy looking.
Next season will have to be better and if the Tycoons and Takers are to play each other, I know it wont be pretty. So I will end this saying congrats to the Tycoons, you did what you had to do to get to the Great 8. Just play hard and bring that trophy to the SOUTH, with a question mark at the end.
