Reno Raiders?

Do any of you ECHL experts have any news on the Reno franchise. I know they were given a extension through the 2007-2008 season & with it alomst over things should start to develope.

The area is soon to get news about a new 7500 seat arena at the Legends at Sparks Marina. They should break ground on the arena very soon also. The land has been graded etc,...

I'm wondering how long it will take to build the arena and also how things are going for the Reno franchise with the ECHL brass...

Any comments would be appreciated.

ECHL website still shows Reno (meaning they're a member, I believe) as "awaiting completion of arena."

From what I understand, the franchise rights have been renewed every year for the past several years. I couldn't find anything this year stating the renewal, but nothing saying they haven't... the statement should have come out with the other results of the BoG meeting, I'd think.
