The cfl and Jeff hunts group are close to a deal that will bring cfl back to ottawa. The only catch is they have to get the right s to the stadium.

It's good news, but the small details such as the state of Frank Clair Stadium show that they've got a long way to go.

And personally, I hope they go back to the Rough Riders. With the big white "R" on the helmet. I thought it was a good look, but then, I'm old and people tend to get nostalgic when that happens.

I agree. Go back to what the city had previously. No different then when the Alouettes 'returned'.

The return of the Ottawa Rough Riders name and logo would be cool. As long as Lonie Glieberman and Dexter Manley do not return with them, of course.

should be detroit ! the michigan panthers of the cfl would work great in the cfl since it would be a windsor area club and the silverdome sure could use a tennant

....the silverdome sure could use a tennant

I thought the Silverdome was going to be torn down.

Everyone seems to agree that there should be an even number of teams.

I think the CFL should look further East...QC or the Maritimes.

You need owners and stadiums. (I don't know what's in QC)

Ottawa is still somewhat iffy.

Windsor is a great idea. You can advertise the F out of it in Detroit because Windsor itself isn't big enough and also see above.

The same could also apply to Windsor, so really, is that a big point of disqualification?

is too isolated from the rest of the cfl by itself and would the french speaking city of qc back a cfl team ? sudbury is smaller than ldn n ldn isnt all that far from hamilton . as det/win all theyd have to go against in the s/dome which needs a tennant is the lions which is a club the nfl should 86 ! btw this tv market would be a huge addition to the cfl

I'm not sure that "proximety to Quebec" is a reason for why the Ottawa and Montreal franchises went under.
