On Monday, March 17, 2008, Pro Basketball Americas, LLC-majority owner of the Global Basketball Alliance, LLC terminated the relationship of being an ABA affiliate. The PBA and GBA wish the ABA the best of luck in the future.

Why terminate???
The ABA was suppose to be so good for the GBA..

It was a mangagement decision. The principals decided to go a different direction than the ABA was headed and felt like keeping the GBA independent was the best option to reach our goals.

I would assume that "a different direction than the ABA was headed" means "the GBA wants to be successful"?

The GBA Management believes that our business plan will most certainly conflict with that of the ABA and therefore it was in the best interest of all parties to terminate the relationship. Principals of the PBA (controlling stockholders of the GBA) are considering entering a league in the conventional winter season of pro basketball to fill a void for both players and fans. This would not work as an affiliate of the ABA. Also another party has become involved in the GBA who has the option of becoming the exclusive licensee of the GBA and he wanted no existing relationship with another league.
