How deparate and pathetic!
There are no solid franchises in NY, PA, or NJ, all of the solid franchises are all leaving at the end of this year!
These PBL owners must get some good laughs from these emails

A no-compete clause? Well, that means the Tycoons may be on the way out. It was all but confirmed that the new Dallas franchise in the PBL was no more than the Texas Tycoons under another name.

The "non-compete" is a bluff.
Joe would have to go to court to enforce a non-compete clause. There's no way he'd do so, and even less chance that a court would enforce such a clause.

The e-mail is word for word what Joe sent. Stop e-mailing people Joe and saying that it was taken out of context. ABA in my opinion is hanging by a thread and you will now do anything and say anything to save your little business. The one that gives you money but leaves owners in debt.
NO ONE IN THE ABA that I know of has made money except Joe !
Joes backround is sales, no one should forget that.
You had your run, no one is foolish enough now, IMO, to be hypnotized by the three letters...ABA.

He'd also lose on breach of contract. The first responsibility of the league is to provide a schedule and opponents. The first time a team holds out that "game canceled" sign when a team doesn't show up, there goes the no-compete clause.

I bet that's the biggest laugh Kay's had all year!
And the Railers haven't even completed their season yet...They still have a 1st-round game against the Sea Dawgs to play, from what I've heard.

They do. Reading takes on Wilmington tomorrow in Chicago.

Wrong! Rochester plays Wilmington Monday. Reading's missing game was Maryland IIRC (which they were en route to after playing Wilmington and had bus trouble).
OOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, my oops. I misread what you guys were saying. I have no idea who the Sea Dawgs are playing in the playoffs (maybe them).

Questions:
1 - Is the ABA closer to folding/making major changes today than it was a year ago?
2 - Does a1sports think that starting thread after thread after thread about eavesdropped conversations, crashed league meetings and forwarded emails has had anything whatsoever to do with the answer to (1)?
Seriously, we all get it. You're preaching to the choir. There's nothing new here. It's been done. You just look sad when you continue to do this.
Sadder than the rest of us, I mean. We all look like we have George Clooney's life next to you.

The posts are NOT for you. If you really stopped a minute, you would know who the posts are intended for. Then again you just may be the kind to fork over 10K.

Plus this one had new information. Okay, maybe we don't need three threads a day reminding us of how lacking the ABA is, but I wouldn't have cited this one as a waste.

While I may not take Sam's tack on this being "sad," I think he's got a point about preaching to the choir.
The people Joe takes in don't seem to have much of a clue about due diligence in the first place. They probably don't use the internet to full potential. If they do actually use google, and use it right (for which there's no assurance), they'll find the archived posts, I'm sure.
I'm thinking three new threads a day is overkill. This one's better than most, mind you.
