Announced today on a press conference, that after that 88-12 game it was enough for the Grizzlies ownership and changes needed to be made.
Mireles is out and Fourcade is in.
HAPPY DAY IN FAIRBANKS

Wow. I think this is like the 80th league this guy has been part of either as a coach and or player. I think he has been part of all these leagues:

NFL
CFL
USFL
AFL
AF2
IPFL
NIFL
UIF
now IFL

And when the ownership has been competent, he's usually performed well in all of them.

I'm glad Ditman made a change, it shows he at least does somewhat care about the team.

Fourcade has a lot of work to do in little time. He'll make them competitive, but I don't think they'll crack the top 5 (Odessa, Louisiana, Corpus Christi, Frisco, Katy) in my rankings. I'm not even sure they can pass Alaska. There's a lot of work to be done up there.

I love this quote from him in his first press conference as the HC of the Alaska Grizzlies

“This football team can win games. I have a motto: ‘Win at all costs. Cheat if you must. And don’t get caught.’ It’s worked a lot.”

Are you kidding me? If the IFL is like the UIF - he can do whatever he wants because the league doesn't have the man power or the balls to enforce the rules.

Katy 75 Grizz 61. Stupid quote or not that is a very significant improvement for the Grizzlies and a great show for the home crowd. That is a great way to start off for the new boss. They will continue to improve but I highly doubt any other team is going to take them as lightly as Katy did. They will be able to take a lot of positives out of this game.

The offense appears to be solid already, and that's with one or two days' practice for Bartik.

The defense...it's still not all that good.

I said it all alone; They needed to get rid of Coach Lee, they did and look at them Grizzlies now . Coach Fourcade brings a whole new look to this team, If you get a chance to watch him coaching he is very energeric person and smart football coach.
We need size on our D-Backs, Dawkins is only 5'8'' and the receiver he was covering was about 9" taller than him. It was insane to watch Higgs from Katy go to every receiver he was covering. The kid has a lot guts, but this ain't high school.

I am going to watch the Wild play today and see if they are fo real. After that unless the Wild show me something great I'll have to say the Grizzlies might fight themselves into a play hunt. They play Alaska 3 more time and San Angelo twice.
I'll get back to this after the game.

I can assure you that the League Office is enforcing the rules

Which league? The IFL? I didn't really pay much attention to the IFL in the past but I do like what I see overall. I certainly see more attention to detail from the league office standpoint then I do from the league I was associated with.

John never says die. I went to high school with him in Marrero, Louisiana at Archbishop Shaw. I've heard him called a lot of things over the years (some good, some bad), just make sure to call him a competitor. The guy gave it has all for every snap when he played. If the Griz needed a QB, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see him suit up again and try to play. He's that competitive. I hope he's settled in to coaching though. His body has to be tattered and worn out.

I know him well enough to know you are right about that. He is a competitor! Once he gets the defense squared away they will be fairly solid. Only so much one man can do in a week or two but it is very early in the season and he has time to make it happen.

I actually just spoke with him for the first time... He has the passion and commitment to the grizzlies and making the a success! Look forward to meeting him
