Sorry to bore all of you with another Tuckman thread, but I know some of you have your ears to the ground a lot more than anyone here does.
There are a number of people who are looking to get in touch with Mike Tuckman and he is apparently still somewhere in Montana. His phone is off and he hasn't been replying to email. If any of you know where he is physically, please post.
Thanks, and good luck to the real teams.

sounds like you're inquiring about information for a mob hit

Or maybe to serve him with papers?

Hopefully it won't come to papers, but people want to meet with him to see if he has a plan to pay them. If not, it might come to that. Hopefully we can avoid the mob hit all together.

Or maybe to serve him with papers?
The difference?
(For some reason, I'm stuck on this phrase "death by lawyer")

Last I heard, he had purchased the Utica Wreckers and was trying to run that franchise. You may want to check with him there. :)

Wow, no one is asking where "Spyder" is from the Krunk? Those players never got paid all year either. CBA front office has their heads in the sand everytime someone calls asking.
I say that this is the last year for the CBA unless some other league buys in. This league has gotten increasingly "unprofessional". Why play here when you can play overseas?

Lots of these guys are not good enough to play overseas.

A lot of these guys just aren't good enough to play overseas. Where is GYM Coyne? Hmmmm??
The CBA won't be back with all of these weak 'sisters'. They will be with people that have a workable business plan unlike a number of their co-owners at the moment. Too many clowns on this bus and a bunch of them will be 'invited' to leave the bus shortly. I think Doyle and Company learned a lot this season and I think they NOW know what to do. No more shortcuts and get rid of the dreamers.
A smaller amount of teams but with owners who have a clue and deep enough pockets to operate when a few bumps in the road pop up and we know that they do pop up. You know....run these teams like a real business with marketing budgets.

I told people time and time and time before and then and now.
Spyder Hughes was broker than a joke and Freedom "I wear wife beaters even if it is 20 degrees outside" Williams is another broke owner. Come on he needs 10k a pop to do his little song and dance routine with C&C Music Factory.
Spyder couldn't do an ABA team what made all of us think he could do the CBA.

I was listening and watching the red flags. Big red flag when the Krunk skipped the previous CBA season. I've said the same thing about Apex. Apex couldn't succeed with one team in the ABA. How on earth were they going to make it with four or five teams in the CBA? Michael Tuckman wouldn't be an issue if Apex stuck to one team at a time...what? One team at a time wasn't challenging enough?!? The same can be said for the Eastern Kentucky ownership, Trinity Group, if they go multi-team. Trinity couldn't keep one ABA team operating. How on earth are they going to keep multi-CBA teams afloat?

..has operated a CBA for the past two seasons. Unlike the Apex implosion this season, Trinity just took its lumps in Indiana and moved to Kentucky, where they are doing better.
Despite talk about operating a whole bunch of teams, Trinity sold the Xplosion, passed on the Gary Steelheads, and presumably passed on the Butte Daredevils.

Apparently Tuckman has it all figured out.
I just talked to a friend (and former GM) who ran into him at Tony Roma's with another former Apex employee. Tuckman didn't know he was there and after trying to bash him for a minute he laid out his plans for the City of Great Falls to his lunch 'date'.
Tuckman has purchased and Arena League football team to start playing in Great Falls in March of 09. I checked, he did say "Arena League" more than once, he never uttered indoor football.
He plans on bringing the Explorers back to Great Falls and has sponsorships from Pepsi, Miller, Budweiser, and the US Army for amounts in excess of $50,000 alone. He plans a local sports awards banquet in September, and a golf tournament in July that will be paid for with sponsor dollars to he will make a 100% profit.
He said moving the team to Seattle or the Tri-Cities would be stupid because of all of the support that he has already built here in Great Falls.
Sounds like he has it all figured out, what a relief.
From another source I heard that he and Joe Clark are working on a partnership for next season, that would be great for everyone.
By the way, he is only still in Great Falls because he was arrested for assult and disturbing the peace so he has court on Thursday.
WAY TO GO MIKE TUCKMAN~

I understand why people laugh at Tuckman, and he obviously has some issues, but he can't be dumb enough to work with Joe Clark again. It worked so well the first time..
Who did Trinit y sell the xplosion to?
As far as Tuckman, I'm glad that he has goals for GF, but I did not read anything in the post about him paying his debts or plans to, which is more important than his visions for the future.

Yeah...my tongue was stuck firmly in my cheek for that post. If he avoids jail time and gets out of Great Falls, I for one would be shocked if his shadow ever fell on these streets again.

Hopefully, the Trinity boys will decide to lose all their money in Eastern Kentucky. Gary doesn't need a Great Falls type situation. We have enough image problems already.

sounds like some hard feelings that the Steelheads were passed by ....yes the alley cats were trinity owned and operated to a profit. for a first year franchise, the Miners surpassed most people's expectations with room for improvement. I am just curious what the league will look like as I still believe we are looking toward the PBL merger to strengthen both leagues

No hard feelings. Actually, I have an extremely low opinion of the Trinity Group and would not like to see them in Gary. Just my opinion though.
The Alley Cats operated at a profit?!? You're not serious, are you?

Why the low opinion?

A low opinion because of Trinity's murky involvement with folded franchises and current under-performing franchises. I'm not a student of the doctrine, Not bad for a first year franchise. The first year is when you let it all hang out and draw some of your largest crowds. Trinity also ran out of money as owners of the ABA Miami Pit Bulls (didn't finish the season).
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...
