..I think we should have a one-day truce on the various cracks on psbf and the Xplosion after they officially made the playoffs and host the play-in game.
It's their day, and like the hated (by me, anyway) Red Sox in 2004 and 2007, they earned it.

Let me say this.
The Xplosion went from laughingstock in 2006-07 to serious contender in 2007-08. They have a shot to do what no Pennsylvania-based CBA franchise has done in a quarter-century - win the playoff championship.
The Xplosion sent three men to the All-Star Contest this year; last year they had an injured Kevin Pittsnogle and Rob Griffin, who hadn't even put on an Xplosion uniform before the ASG (he was with the Utah Eagles and was traded to Yakama for about a week).
John DeGroat will most likely make All-League first or second team. Chaz McCrommon could also make All-League second team. And let's not forget about those who went beyond the call and duty while in an Xplosion uniform, including Odell Bradley, John Strickland and Shaun Fountain. And maybe even some kind words for DeVaughn Halsel, who came out of retirement for one last chance at a ring.
Carlos Knox made that team a solid contender. They deserve to be in the playoffs.
So do the Miners. So do the Skyrockets. So do the Cavalry. And so do the Sun Kings.
In other words, this is going to be a playoff series where there's a feel-good story for every team in the postseason. Yeah, five teams didn't make the playoffs - RGV peaked way too late, Butte ran out of players and coaches, Great Falls imploaded, Albany lost their way, and Atlanta's so bad they're already eliminated from next year's playoffs.
So certainly let's give PSBF all the credit in the world for sticking with his team. Same as we would give PikevilleOT or Kev the Cav or FrozenUPHere or SUNKINGS for the loyalty they show their respective squads.
Thanks, Panchess and Chuck. Unfortunately, the X lost in Butte last night as I had feared after their long layoff. I think the real challenge will be when they play their second game in Butte on Sunday and return here to host E.K. on Monday(doubleheader). But I've seen what h.c. Knox can do with them and I'm sure he will have them ready. I just hope enough X fans turnout to drown out the Miners fans. But it should be a good game. Hopefully we can move on. Last playoff games I went to was when we had the Piranhas(95).

Not getting on you, just don't want you to show up on the wrong night. That's the second time you said the Playoff game was on Monday. It's going to be played TUESDAY March 11th.

Both of these teams really did a good job this season...
Too bad they couldn't do a best of 3.
I appreciate that, FO. But you may want to check the Miners press release, that is where I got the date from. But ty for the correction.
And I agree Topps.

FO,
There was a release from the Miners that said Monday, March 11. I saw it earlier this morning on the OSC page. It seems to have been corrected now, but PSBF was correct in what he said he saw.

Ok, never said I didn't believe him. Just wanted to get the facts straight
My only question would be, Why did the X not announce that we clinched until after the Miners announced that they had? I would think they would announce it after we beat the Miners following our last win.
