View Full Version : Albany-Pittsburgh on the 11th...

..ends the regular season. It's listed on the CBA Daily Reports portion of the website.

That likely means the Pittsburgh-EK play-in game goes to the 13th and the first American Conference championship game is the 15th in the second-place city, with two in a row scheduled in Minot, no doubt.

I wouldn't make any travel plans yet as those dates will probably change.

Thanks, Panchess. That confirms it. But it makes me wonder why the Xplosion have not promoted it, unless they are waiting to get word on the show-down date. But they should still promote the doubleheader(imo).

I doubt it, FO. The doubleheader was announced at the last few Xplosion games. It's too late to change them now.

I didn't see any dailey reports section of the CBA website and I looked all over.

The date will remain but the opponent is subject to change.

It would be a bigger draw anyway to have a one game play-off against a team with a winner record than it would be a sub .500 team that hasn't won a game in weeks roll into town.

..under statistics, the last one is daily reports. Click there. The current CBA standings (including the forfeits) are there too. The ones on the front are linked to the box scores, which is out of whack, likely not fixed since the changes in the schedule.

Thanks, Panchess. It is listed as a single game.

FO, I guess who we play remains to be seen, which may explain why no promoting them yet. But they better decide soon, it is getting near!

We'll see you on the 11th... and be at home the 13th if/when we beat the X....It's weird that no media coverage at all of the Steelers being in action on the 11th... perhaps they have cancelled? Regardless, the playoff game play-in between the Miners and X should be very fun to watch

I'm not surprised, ot. The Steelers never do.
Unfortunately, the X are trailing at the half, 54-43. We lost the first quarter, 34-30. Hopefully we will come out with a big second half. We have to!! But we are doing better than I thought we would after the long layoff.

The X are losing in Butte, 108-93 with three minutes left. I was afraid of this. No thanks to the league giving us a long inactivity with nothing to show for it. THANKS A LOT CBA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it that the Miners are the only ones that re releasing info about the 'playoffs' here on the 11th? I'm going to contact the Xplosion about this. No Albany and no mention of doubleheader? I don't like the sound of this.

ok, the Xplosion just released their info. It will be on the 11th as part of a doubleheader with the Steelers with Franco Harris coaching the All-Stars. That will begin at 6 with the X starting at 8 PM, at the Pete!

Maybe now you'll believe people when they give you information

Fo, I only believe posters if they are reliable and I don't know you well enough to make that claim. But I do think the CBA should have done a better job of releasing the info.
I also feel the X should reschedule for Saturday. It will be tough for them playing on Sunday then have to fly back here to play E.K. in the playoffs on Monday.

It's a good thing the 11th is a Tuesday.

They couldn't release the change until EK officially made the playoffs, which happened last night. So in this case, the league did everything it could to get the info out as soon as possible.

I have to admit that Standard was right in saying that anything can happen and I see your point, FO. But I still feel that the league should have handled it differently.

Just curious, what would you have wanted them to do?

In regards to the play-in game on Tuesday, since the Steelers will be the first part of the doubleheader, I would advise Miners fans to plan an early trip. There was an ad in today's paper for the game so I don't know how many will be on hand. I've reserved some tickets. I'm hoping there will be at least what we had as our record turnout so plan accordingly and drive safely.

There should be plenty of room then, right?

they have advertised 8-10 steelers versus local celebrity team which tentatively includes Roy Jones Jr. It will be a nice charity event leading into the playoff play-in... I am exicted about the trip

The place will empty out like a fire drill after the Steelers are done.

That's true rams80

I hope not, sun kings. I would like to think that local fans would give the Xplosion a chance. They are a good team and deserve to be seen as another local team. I'll be posting pictures of it. Obviously, I don't expect it to be filled. But I would like to see the record at least tied and I think the Steelers can do that. If Big Ben and ward decide to play that would be an added bonus. Hopefully we'll have a lively crowd and the X fans will drown out the Miners supporters.
