There is also this. Sounds like they want to run an entire league in the dome. I'm thinking the listing of the number of games must be a misprint.

What is interesting about this option is that if the city can just get back their operating costs for the facility, they could keep the dome until the economy in the area is better and then still sell the property at a later date. Will be interesting to see if there is more info forthcoming from Global Baseball, Inc.

Personally I don't think this will happen. They should've brought up this idea before the Oakland County Cruisers came to fruition 10 minutes down the road from the Dome.

Really, they should have come up with this idea before the city decided to sell the building. I doubt it comes about either unless it is just a stall tactic by the city to try and tread water until the market for the property improves.

It would be interesting if this gets off the ground if they could do something similar with hockey during the winter to fill those dates as well.

Looks like the city of Pontiac has gone back to a previous bidder that they were negotiating with that has upped his bid for the property from $12m to $21m. The article says they are also negotiating with Global Baseball, Inc about being a tennent.
