Right off the bat, here is a list of records broken by the Miners in tonight's game:

Most Points, Team: 194
Most Points, Half: 113
Most Points, Quarter: 58
Largest Margin of Victory: 79

Oh, and Atlanta set a record for the most 7-0 quarterpoint losses... again ... They now are credited with eight 7-0 quarterpoint losses.

Sorry for the bad grammar and such up there, I was using a friend's iPod touch at the game to post that, I figured since the Krunk were visiting, they'd mess up our webcast and dakstats, and you guys wouldn't know what was going on (j/k) actually, I was just excited and had to let it out somehow! GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS FOR THE 1ST YEAR FRANCHISE GO MINERS!!!!!!!!!!

Here's something else regarding the "beloved" Krunk.

The CBA record for highest defensive average (what the rest of the league scores on you) is 134.8, set by the woeful Scranton Aces in the 1980-81 season.

After that game in which they played like they were from Toledo, the Atlanta Krunk have a defensive average of 120.7.

Only counting games since the All-Star Break, after which head coach Kenny Anderson quit the Krunk, and the Krunk were traveling the highways and byways with five (and one time four) dressed players, the franchise has barfed up 149.9 points per game.

Atlanta will most likely set a league mark for fewest quarterpoints earned by a team in league history - they have 73.5 quarterpoints now, and are most likely not going to catch the 90.0 quarterpoint mark set by the 2001-02 Saskatchewan Hawks. Only seven franchises have posted worse quarterpoint gains than the Krunk at this moment, and all were under extenuating circumstances.

2000-01 Fort Wayne Fury, 74.0 (league ended in mid-season)
2000-01 La Crosse Bobcats, 68.5 (league ended in mid-season)
2000-01 Sioux Falls Skyforce, 66.5 (league ended in mid-season)
2000-01 Quad City Thunder, 66.0 (league ended in mid-season)
2000-01 Gary Steelheads, 64.5 (league ended in mid-season)
2006-07 Utah Eagles, 53.0 (folded in mid-season)
1995-96 San Diego Wildcards 46.5 (folded in mid-season)

In other words... so much for the Krunk.

any word on what become of Terrance Hunter and Waki Williams who had stuck it out through all the misery of the Krunk season?? I figured they would be absorbed into the roster but they are no longer with the Krunk as all 10 were new players.

Witnessed some pretty cool history tonight. You could tell Atlanta hadn't played together as a team at all yet, they weren't running any plays and I don't believe they had a player over 6'6"... but they played with alot of heart, and they were none too happy to have that kind of score draped on them.
Boo Jackson had a 20/20 game, Jason McLeish had 16 assists and Mike Dean dropped 44, including the points that put us over the scoring record. Congratulations go all around, especially to Mark. He put in alot of hard work this year and I'm glad he got a chance to go out there and play.

Haha, yeah, take that! I remember that one topic where everyone was saying he couldn't do it, but he's now got 5 points in his CBA career! Congrats Mark and go Miners!

What kind of scoreboard do the Miners use? Is it one that wouldn't be able to fit a number higher than 199 on it? LOL. 194.... I can hardly believe it.

If the weather is nice this upcoming Thursday, I'll hopefully be up in Minot to see the Skyrockets take on the Miners.

Is there any way to find a boxscore for this game?

You can access a partial boxscore via dakstats, and the full boxscore should be up tomorrow, but the CBA doesn't provide them on their website anymore it seems, as it has been about a week since they updated them. However, you can find them at howesportsdata.com.

Here's the partial boxscore, however, note that it is stopped with 2:12 left in the 4th, so it is incomplete: http://www.dakstats.com/Websync/Pages/WebcastPlayByPlay/WebcastPBP.aspx?association=36&sg=MBB&compID=77063&sea=

I inputed Mark's stats into the efficiency per 48 formula that the NBA uses and he got like an 84. That beats everyone in the NBA:
http://www.nba.com/statistics/player/Efficiency.jsp?league=00&season=22007&conf=OVERALL&position=0&splitType=9&qualified=N&yearsExp=-1&sortOrder=7&splitDD=All%20Teams

Not that that's fair. It's just what happens when you get 5 points, 2 assists, and 1 steal in 4 minutes.

Chuck please tell me you are kidding! Clearly I didn't figure the CBA would turn into a rec league with the Krunk just giving up and allowing 194 points in a game. That is not something that happens in a professional league. Chuck, you could have even scored a basket and I have no doubt that I would have been able to score at least 5 points in that slop that they will try and call a CBA game that occurred last night. That was so bad, even Jim Rome mentioned the CBA and how ridiculous that score was on his radio show today.

You still won't even give Mark any credit. Wow. So maybe 194 is ridiculous, but 5 points, 2 assists, and 1 steal in 4 minutes is great anyway. Let's just see what he can do against Minot. That will be the real test. I'll definitely be watching since I missed the webcast yesterday.

That's assuming that the coach let's him play when the Miners visit the Skyrockets. He should find out what the coach plans first(imo).
