Having Shawn hackett join the other first team cifl linbacker ,Jason coley, gives Rochester the ability to play straight up 8man football against anyone. Bynes was phenomenal in all leagues he played in.Rochester has 7 allstars on defense alone.Should make for a fun season.raptors look to be tough also.

Um, but you play in a 7-man league... you're insinuating the signing of Shawn Hackett was based purely on the notion that IF you win the CIFL this season you're going to throw down your "$100k Challenge Match" and then presume someone from another league MIGHT accept and play you?
What happened to being so proud of the fact that the Raiders were mostly built around homegrown Rochester talent? The franchise took pride in that fact, that the Pirates were the evil mercenaries and the Raiders were the underdog local boys and now you're doing the exact same thing you all despised.
Good luck this season, hypocrite.

That's great.
The CIFL plays 7 on 7 though.

Of the 25 guys that will be on our roster,18 are from western new york. Hypocrite ;your a joke. Bynes and hackett are great guys . We almost signed him last year. The raiders are a 7 man team that will play against anyone. They will challenge other teams if they win the cifl championship. Thats a big if,but they are very local. When you have two great players join an already stacked team, we are gonna be looking to play the best in the country. People want to give the sioux Falls storm this crown as the best, maybe they are. If we challenge them and they turn it down thats their perogative. That a long way down the road;we will see.Dont bet against it not happening. It would be fun the country. oh by the way,the ifl/uif champion would have a tough time against this team against any rules.

I know I'm not the only one here who thinks the focus is a little messed up.

Wouldn't it be easier to simply apply to join other leagues?

Why? The cifl, uif, ifl are all good leagues. Whats the big deal in trying to play other champions of other leagues? If Rockford, kalamazoo end up winning the cifl champions, i would love to see them against other teams. Competition of being the best has its place.Any athlete, coach, owner that participates in sports wants to play against the best. The uif and ifl are having a championship for that reason.

You should have your league try to arrange something. I could understand how UIF and IFL teams might crow about being able to beat each other and even take steps to do so. That's because an agreement exists between those leagues. If that agreement did not exist, and in fact they played with different numbers of players on the field, I would consider that crowing and those steps wasted effort.

Preeths, your right about that, its between the leagues. Teams try to become the best. I know the talent in the cifl is as good as the other leagues.

Might make it a game of it for a while, but thats it. No disrepecting u but look at the recruiting and talent.

I do wonder why Rochester would pay so great to have the pirates roster? Housing, jobs, flights to and from home. One fact remains. Dave really did play up that "All Rochester" BS in 2006! This man went as far as to try to get Hackett and Bynes Kicked out of the league in 2006 saying "They threatened and hit a small boy" after we embarrased them at home!!
Now, this is good for my guys hac and bynes...They love running the show! Dont forget one thing these guys dont forget, and I hope they take these guys for all it is worth!
One last note. The owner for Rochester seems to think he has this league by the balls, well you may want to watch out for Rock River! You may have been able to buy a home championship game from a team on it's last leg with a horrible greedy owner, that by the way the team didnt even get a meal before the game, but that will not happen with Rock River, you will not be able to buy your championship game this year.
And as for your "SWEET" Ring, that 1,200 per ring that your RICH owner bought looks like a pebble compared to the 16,000 rings that the AFL sabercats just recieved...Hey Dave...MINOR LEAGUE FOREVER!! lol

It will be interesting, RR will be tough, but THEY DID NOT SHOW up to scrimmage the Extreme tonight in bloomington. CIFL now scared of the UIF, Extreme was told to run up the score and to make a statement about the 2 league's LMAO

Maybe with a preseason game Monday against a team in their own league they decided the Bloomington scrimmage wasn't such a good idea after all.
But yeah, I'm sure you're right... they were "scared." That makes sense, seeing as how R2 has coached in the UIF for what, two seasons? Many of the players are the same ones that played for the Raptors in the UIF? Your logic makes no sense...
What would make sense to me though, is that someone used their head and realized scrimmaging an 8-man team right before you start your first season in a 7-man league doesn't help your team prepare at all.

Just trying to get the pot stirred up for once. or twice. Lovin it. I just want to see RR kick the crap out of the Slaughter, and that will happen. But first they will beat the Boneheads by 30 or 35 at least if not more. And yes I WILL BE there AGAIN to scout. After watching RR last week with thier 1st scrimmage they have alot of weapons, so watch out crushers.

Have to go with Tatonka on this one. Why in the world would RR be scared of playing the Extreme. That doesnt even have a drop of logic to it. Obviously, someone thought that it wasnt that important to make that game, and I would tend to be on their side. Two totally different set of rules. Made no sense when they set it up.
