I usually dont catch many road games on the Internet , as they start so early out here on the left coast. And I have a job, to pay Ma the rent for use of her basement. But tonite I settled in with some OK/YAk hoops. Good game, solid feed. The MAgic 95 guy is a little whack, but at least he's into it. He compared YAK/OK to OK/NEB Fb that might be a bit of a stretch. I digress.
He mentioned that Yak/OK will begin their playoff series on march 11th or 12th.
Do the teams know more than the fans? I think maybe they do. Or is he just delusional. That would suck if they told the teams who is in the playoffs, and they will tell us later. Yak has two straight forfiets then two with OK and two with Tex. So you figure the SKINGS will lose no more than 5 if they split with OK and sweep Tex. 43-5. I predict Yakima will not win the Title. You heard it hear first. Wait I just thought of something else. The teams would have to be informed of the Playoff situation, they need to book travel and book arenas. You can't announce a week before the playoffs start whose playing and where. I am predicting top two in each division.

Ya got to love an anouncer that is really into the game.
He does go off the deep end once in awhile when the CAVS get on a roll, but that is what makes him a great announcer.

Thing about Chris is he calls it both ways.
He makes sure that he gives great props to Yakama, by calling them a great team, have an excellent coach ect...

If I am not mistaken, he was the voice of the CAVS back when they were in OKlahoma City when the CAVS were first in the CBA.

PLAYOFFS
I said it here after Friday nights game that I talked with one of the owners of the CAVS and he was just getting the details settled about the playoffs. Not so much how many teams, but what format - 3 game or 5 game series.

Oh, that guy?

He was a total freaking nutjob. I heard a game he did once. The game was secondary to his ramblings and rantings.

Then again, any team that keeps a graphic on its website (http://www.okcavs.com/cavalry/frontoffice.html) all season long that says "CAVARLY OWNERS" is liable to do anything.

Though now that I look at Magic 95's website (http://www.ask4direct.com/sports/kmgz), I don't think it was the same guy.

Was there another guy at the end of the original Cavs' run? Needham supposedly did it until 1995, and the Cavs lasted until 1997. I'm almost certain I heard the next guy doing the 1997 CBA Finals. Nutjob.

Actually, that pic of the owners was just added to the website not that long ago. That pic is from the cover of a magazine that is published in this area.

It was done about a month after the 4 guys pictured purchased the team from Mr. Hoopgood.

Chris is abit wild, which makes it kind of fun to listen to him. Better than some guy/girl that has no emotion calling the game.

I guess nobody has noticed the typo "Cavarly". I've been to that page a couple times and I never noticed it, which is weird. I get plenty of practice looking for typos at work. Where I work I don't think you get promoted until you prove you're completely illiterate...

If anyone wants to read the story they did about the new owners you can read it online at:
