The Anchorage Daily News Miner reported:
Several familiar faces were on the field at the CellularOne Sports Center -- Mao Tosi and George Noga looked good along the defensive line, Nian Taylor was running pass routes -- but conspicuous by his absence was last year's starting quarterback, David Short.
"Sometimes in this league guys make odd decisions," Deemer said. "That's just how it is. He was signed to come back and was not here this morning.
"Maybe it was his time to move on. I really don't know what his decision was."
That puts veteran Nick Mystrom under center as the quarterback to beat in training camp -- Eddie Echols and Calvin Savage are also on the roster as QBs.
Are the Wild in danger, can they be better with Mystrom at the QB position ?
