As of February 23rd, the PBL has played all its games, with the exception of two contests that were postponed due to weather and travel issues. In the case of two other games, both at Wilmington, the league avoided postponements by bringing in a league-sanctioned traveling squad that is ironically called the "Travelers."

That ain't irony, son. That's coincidence. Or appropriateness, one.

Irony would be if the team were called the "Homers" or the "Stay Put-ers."

This is a stark comparison to the ABA which has games cancelled or postponed at an alarming rate. This season, the ABA has played just 38 percent of its original schedule, calling off games for a wide variety of reasons. The success of the PBL playing its games shows that the league is committed to playing the entirety of its schedule. Of course weather does play a factor, but even when Rochester couldn't make it out of a snowstorm, a team filled in to play that night's game in Wilmington.

When it comes to the ownership problems with the Dallas Defenders and Jacksonville Jam, the league has shown it has contingency plans in place. In the ABA, teams are simply allowed to fold. As a consequence, fans are left without a team, and players are left not only without a team to play for but in many cases without a paycheck. In the PBL, when problems have arisen, they have been dealt with. In Jacksonville and Dallas, the league was forced to step in.

Thanks amigo. This is a league that I fully believe will be a success. The games have been played, there are contingency plans in place for teams who may fold, and they really seem to have a solid grasp on what to do, or for that matter what NOT to do.

Tom is a world class guy who is respected by the players and by other owners. He treats people VERY well and has been nothing but honest with me.

I agree. The league is laying down a solid foundation. It certainly isn't perfect, and a number of teams need to improve their numbers at the gate, but they're proving themselves this year, and with that history built, it'll only get easier, even if there is a little team movement in the off season.

After a disappointing start at the gate here in Rochester, crowds are really picking up again. Tonight's crowd was by far the largest out of the games I've attended this season. So I'm happy to see that, and the team is looking tough right now. I know teams like Quad Cities and Arkansas are tough too, so it'll be an interesting finish.

3419 according to the box score, and 2400 on Monday

It seems like the Sharks do better during the week lol, but its good to see them to start getting better numbers at the gate and an 11-1 record also helps to attract fans.

I was at last weekends Wilmington game, I wanted to see how good they really were, and Rochester has a very impressive team. Everyone on that roster is capable of contributing and playing well, and the depth on that team, to me is why they are 11-1, and the same reason why they had success in the ABA. They are also coached really well, Rod Baker always has his players in check!

Can't wait for next year bdaly, our thru-way rivalry will now be back on!! :)

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Baker is a class act and the new assistant has certainly put a little more structure into warm ups and the shooting seems to be much better of late. But having a lineup of 13 guys who are all very capable is the key, and that sets them apart from the past Razorsharks teams. Coming into tonight, their top four scorers were separated by .9 PPG, which is pretty telling (Monroe 15.2, Friel 14.6, Reaves 14.5, Massiah 14.3).
