af2 Returns to Fresno

The team name will be announced Thursday, and the Conders ECHL team will take over operations of the Blitz in Bakersfield. The other af2 teams out West have to be happy about one less long road trip.

I for one am glad to see 4 teams out west...

NOW... Maybe the AF2 can get Wichita into a division with "regional" rivalries that have "festered" lol.. over the years with Tulsa and Oklahoma City...

I would love the Koyotes to be in that league, but it appears that we are going to concentrate on growing our own league better.

1. The AF2 site has them listed as the Central Valley Coyotes.

And yes, Hawaii, Bakersfield, San Diego, and Central Valley would once again make a great division. Also, it's been mentioned that they may play four games against each opponent (2 home, 2 away) for a total of 12 divisional games. Which would greatly reduce outside travel costs.

Topeka had some success with the APFL so why aren't they making the jump to the AF2.

I wish St. Louis would dump the NIFL and go to the AF2. A lot of people think that St. Louis will be back in the AFL, but I would prefer the AF2. Just my opinion.

As far as Topeka... Just not large enough for AF2 .. ??

But... Also looking at the supposed 2004 AF2 team lineup.... It looks to me like 30 teams.... With 6 divisions that puts 5 teams in each division... SO... Wichita may again get the shaft again... Hopefully they'll send one of the new Texas teams out west...
