Check out the Drudge Report (www.drudgereport.com) today for the great story on how the Jamestown team trashed a historic building in downtown Jamestown after hearing about the league's demise. Over $25,000 worth of damages and arrests may be coming. Lots of great Andrew Haines material in this one. Twelve passed out players and friends when the police arrived.

Dearest Jim Cashman,

1. You aren't fooling anyone, we ALL know this is you.

2. That isn't quite as bad as stealing a ball hockey floor or running an illegal hockey league on both ends of the boarder.

3. Diversionary tactics are Mike Killbreath's thing, come up with some new schtick.

I am awaiting your responce Jim.

Sorry, BC, this is not Jim Cashman. In fact, it's John Guy from Phoenix. And although Sign Guy apparently posted the story two days earlier, I hadn't been following the league very closely and missed the post. Once something hits the Drudge Report, it makes virtual internet news and that's where I picked up the story-albeit late. I've seen many leagues fold in my lifetime, this was just one of the first where a disgruntled team en masse decided to vent their frustrations out on a building. I know very little about the foldings of the NEHL since I was only in contact (via e-mail) with Cashman once before the season started, once towards the end and then once more after he had shut things down. My recommendation to him the second contact was to shut it down which he evidently took to heart a while later. Other than that, I don't much more about what went on this aborted season although I can say that none of the teams eventually rioted when told of their demise. That doesn't make the NEHL any better than the MAHL-it's merely an observation.

Bullcrap,

If you are indeed who you say you are, I challenge you to prove it. PM me with your phone number and if I do not speak to a PERSON when I call it, it will be all the proof I need to state that you are indeed Jim Cashman.

I believe Haines had what was coming to him. He had these young guys in Jamestown sleeping practicly on the floor with the showers to use. After promising these young men HOUSING. Then he stops paying the players. And for the finally he folds the league. What do you think a group of youn guys are going to do.
And the only reason Haines folded the league anyway is that the players in Jamestown were getting sick and tired of not getting paid and they were going to strike. Haines found out about it and made the announcement that the league was going to fold.
As for Cashless. I remember playing for him in the CPHL. He promised one of our guys that if he books the mini van for the players to travel 8 hours to Pittsburgh he would reimburse the player at the end of the trip. Of course Cashless never delivered and our guy was out over $800.00.
Cashless also promised our Coach at the time that if he bought the team jerseys and took care of the travel arrangements for a series of games on the weekend that he would pay our coach back. Needless to say that never happened. And our coach was out $3000.
Both of these men are crooks and need to be put in jail. I hope one day this happens.

please answer me this.....why on earth would you get involved in any way shape or form with Jim Cashman.....why would you do this from Arizona?

if you really are real....what was your role in the NEHL?
the way you have answered, and not answered questions is vintage cashless...
what are your credentials?
did you invest any money into the NEHL?

I want answers because I like many others think you are cashless/useless/brainless

also if after all the postings you have read (over the last 3 years) would you not investigate into the crooked activities of cashless....

you have some major explaining to do....
there was one posting where you that claimed there were hundreds of fans out to a game when in fact there were 34....why would you post something for which you have no evidence??????
again that posting had cashless written all over it.......
