Many of the original Jax team is to be back, possibly with some games back on in Jax.

Dallas may be settled, at least through the remainder of the season.

(Who knows what happens with these at years' end......)

The "showcase" is still on, but may be a little smaller in scope.

None of this is ideal, but games are still on track to be played.

above is the link, the show is a couple of weeks old or portions of it is..

the showcase is to be held in Chicago, supposedly (Mon -Wed - no dates to this point) all PBL teams will participate and some teams will give up home dates. They are not sure how many games will take place. 50 to 75 scouts are suppose to be in attendance, plus free streaming of all games. Was suppose to be for next year, but will be held this year due to a sponsor asking for it

there you go, I know lightning man how much you appreciate my opinions and thoughts LOL

radiodavel...you're OK by me....just cynical like the rest of us over the state of minor league ball.

some of us just happen to be seeing a few good signs in the PBL (despite the recent bumps) that we haven't seen before from other leagues and are hopeful.

The "shots" are warranted for sure. These are the problem children....they deserve to be laughed at and ridiculed on this blog. The CBA has a couple too, and the ABA, well.....no need to digress. I too hoped any bad apples could be weeded out up front, but here we are.

The difference I guess is in how they are handled and that seems to be in process now. Interestingly, I'll point out that neither of the teams has "folded" or ceased to play yet, notwithstanding the opinions about the league-managed "Slam."

So, in that respect while the reports of the "problems" have been true, they have not yet resulted in the total demise of the PBL representatives. In the past, that's exactly what would have happened and why usbasket.com reported it that way. So far though, we have a new approach and paradigm.
