Peoria will save $50,000 on its 2005 operations budget by leaving the af2 -money required by members of that league to be paid annually for league-management fees and royalties to the AFL for use of its patented game system.

That's a lot of money so the AFL is making 1 million dollars from af2 teams this season.

That's not the half of it either. Last year, all AF2 teams paid $5,000 per month as league dues. This year it is going up to $7,500 per month. Let's see...they lost 6-8 teams from 2004, and they RAISE the monthly dues? Just what are these teams getting from the league for their $5,000-7,500 per month? A schedule? Some sort of alignment with the AFL clubs? Sounds like someone is lining their pockets to me.
