Another minor pro league this season is the Ligue Nord Americaine de Hockey (LNAH) or North American Hockey League. The LNAH evolved from last year's Quebec Senior Hockey League that decided to turn pro. The 11/16/04 edition of The Hockey News states that the U.S.-based junior NAHL has filed a cease-and-desist order with the LNAH for use of the North American Hockey League name. The U.S. NAHL has been around for almost 30 years.

That Quebec league is about as rough as it gets. There are some serious hard nosed players in that league right now. Brashear is playing there during the lock out. Also thelegendary Link Gaetz plays in the league. Any other followers of this league out there?

Ling (Pro Lab)looked horrible in that league. As well as most of the players. There were a couple of very good players on St George though.

The artist formerly known as the Quebec Senior League may be the single toughest hockey league of all time. However, it is also the most honorable in terms of the fights. Cheap shots are par for the course but when fights break out the players drop their sticks, gloves and take off their helmets before squaring off in almost every case. I have to respect that.
There is a great DVD about the Laval Chiefs of this league called Les Chiefs. That will teach you everything you need to know about the LNAH.
