Why would you wonder that? The Continental league is terrible. Not to mention, they are currently located in Texas. The Continental league has only one actual stadium, and 4 teams. They play in highschool fields, don't sell beer, and draw tiny crowds. The level of play is inconsistent at best. The South Coast League appears to be a far more legitimate operation, at least is has been.

I guess I just don't understand why you would ponder the CoBL replacing the SCL. Are you being sarcastic?

I do. I was hoping for them to do good last season. I listened to a few games last season. They just did a very poor job from a business point of view.

I believe it is another place for players to get a chance and for that I see deffinite value.

The business aspect just seems lacking. Placing a team within the same county as an established team and then another within the same metro area did not seem logical. They do not draw many spectators, and due to this, they offer little exposure.

After this season ended they ended a team, which was good, but they also released info about possible future locations that are no where near Texas. Also, this off-season they got two new franchises. Robstown will have a legitimate stadium. The town even appears to embrace them. They will have deffinite competition from the Hooks, a fact the past tennants could not overcome. This could be signs of a promising future, but they must operate differently. I also believe the new Texarkana franchise is a great idea. I often wondered why there was not a team located there. They even appear to have gained support from the city to renovate the field they are going to play at.

I was simply wondering why you were comparing these two leagues to each other. Last season they were night and day.

I honestly hope that the CoBL can correct the issues they had their first season. They weren't blessed with good weather this past season. Maybe the sun will come out tomorrow, and they will be a brand new league. I hope so.

I simply was disappointed last season, and I still don't think the Tarrant County team is a good idea. From a business standpoint, they at least need to have a stadium/field that they control, with real seats in order to compete.

I thought they did a few things good. They just located in locations which didn't want them. These two new locations that appear to embrace their presence may be exactly what they need to take off.

(I am sorry if that was hard to follow, I didn't get enough sleep last night)
