Visiting teams would not be able to afford 60 dollars per person round trip on the catalina island ferry.
Yes 60 bucks round trip. 53 for seniors lol
ABA teams cant afford a full tank of gas in the most part either.

As long as they don't put an ABA team in the rec center down the street from me, I will be happy....

Isn't Joe still on the Wreckers roster?
This gets me to thinking that Chuck needs to portray what I hear to be current and dire facility issues in Utica. I hear a move might be in order. Sing Sing seems appropriate, but I'm not the ultimate arbiter of these assignments.

I say they put the team in Coxsackie or, Danemora or Clinton Correctional,
Have them move to Rikers Island

They should have a team in Folsom State Prison
It would probably get a better crowd than most teams.

Joe retired from the Wreckers' active roster around the same time that Bill Corona was fired as chief spokesperson for the Wreckers. That's when Abia Ausichser came in as the team spokesperson (for those of you who aren't in on the joke, say Abia Ausichsicer's name fast and it sounds like an infamous poster from somewhere near Corning).
Forget prisons - I had toyed with the idea of having the Wreckers play their games here...

but the residents there would have truly been more sane, me thinks.

I saw the Winfield Correctional Facility team (a medium to minimum security facility) play the Southwestern (Kan.) College JV a few years ago. First time I ever saw a guy at the press table with a shot gun.
