Please find the following link to the Portland Reign and their financial difficulties. It also tells of the team losing a money investor. A week away and the people involved are only 85% sure they will begin the season. Joe,, please for the love of the game, quit giving people franchises who aren't ready and can commit financially for three seasons!

Calgary is out for this year and a new team that is pleased to provide, fun affordable basketball will be asusming their schedule. Now if this were a true professional league, my travel arrangements would have been made in August. So this switching at the last moment stuff should be dropped. Of course that is just me, organized and thorough.

This one below may be my favorite. Coach Steppe talks about how players are released the NBA and how they will hold a tryout to see if they can blend in with his squad. I have good news for you coach, most NBA players that have been cut or waived are good enough to blend in with your squad. But newsflash, they have agents you call, contacts to go through, etc. You sign them, they dont tryout for you, even for $50. And in some instances, you may not be able to afford them with you salary situation. I say hold your tryout camp, take your $50 from unsuspecting players who have no chance to play in the South Pole, and use that money to pay the bills and not yourself. Don't fold because I think you have an opportunity to prove yourself worthy of a coaching job at the next level.
Mustangs continue vet camp and tryouts
November 13, 2004 - Atlanta, GA. Brook Steppe, Head Coach of the ABA Atlanta Mustangs and new owner Arthur Crawford announced that Veterans Training Camp began on November 8th and will continue until all roster slots are filled.
According to Steppe, "We've put together a pretty decent squad. We'll be competitive. However, because of the large number of players recently released from NBA and other teams, we will have a tryout camp on November 18th and 19th and see if we can find a few players to blend in with the ones that we are interested in signing."
And finally some good aBA news. Heres to more of the good stuff!
