I got my first look at Great Falls and their nice away uniforms. But what happened with the pictures? I've noticed they've shrunk!

Fairly hum-drum game tonight in Minot. Neither team shot very well but Marshall Phillips put together his second great effort in a row (14-16 shooting, lots of rebounds). Darnell Miller lead Pittsburgh back into it late with several steals and fastbreak dishes (and he had some choice gestures for his coach and pals from last year). But again, Minot pulls out a tight one. They just can't be phased on the homecourt - someone always gets it done for them. Tonight it was Phillips and Kevin Rice extinguishing the Pitt surge in OT. Albert White got Pitt into OT with a clutch 3 with no time on the clock . . . . his only basket of the night I believe. He came in pretty cold off the bench and nailed it from the corner. Really clutch. Hats off to him. Minot had too many guys crashing and grabbing boards in the OT. Good win for Minot considering they didn't look that great early on. Ronnie Fields started tonight after sitting out last nights game with a sore throat I'm told.

good game. The Skyrockets always manage to stop the Xplosion's winning streak. But you will not win here on Friday. The X will defend their home court and I'll be there to watch.
What was your turnout? I left after the first quarter to watch the U.S. National soccer team. It looked like a good crowd(Minot).

Skyrockets announced 1,500 and change (1,511 I believe). Not a bad crowd for a Wed. . . . weather didn't keep anybody away.

That's good. I'm curious about why your paper does not include that like they used to.
Hopefully, we'll get at least as much on Friday. Last season I remember seeing some of your fams make the trip down.

I think the CBA is inflating their numbers again, it's reported in the box score 15,610.

Just got off the phone with the CAVS front office. They have told me that the webcast for tonights game will be up and running.

The last home game they had the webcast up but it crashed and they couldn't get it back up again. They informed me that they have hired a computer nerd to help out if it crashes again.

I don't know about 'again' but I'd say it was a mis-type, if not for the 610.

..for better or worse this season, there haven't been many instances of teams inflating the attendance (except likely Atlanta). Probably the webcasts have something to do with that. People can see all over the country (or at least not just inside the arena).

Clearly the CBA isn't perfect, but plenty of teams report "tickets sold" that are way above the actual attendance. I'll never forget the Syracuse Chiefs day game I attended in the early 1990's where we counted 112 people in the audience, just before the scoreboard flashed 3,543.

Brilliant observation psbf. I never would have thought it was a typo!

The "Again" was referring to last season, when Indiana reported over 1,000 for games that only had 100.

Ya know, I get tired of all the sarcasm directed at me. I wish I could get treated like everyone else on these boards.

psbf, just don't take so much written about the Xplosion personally. Yes, even those outside Pittsburgh can have opinions. You don't have to agree with them, but they're not directed at you.

That's true, Preeths. I have to keep that in mind.
