Caitlin Clark Hits Game Winner in Indiana Fever Road Victory

WNBA Indiana Fever WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Indiana Fever earned a late-game road victory over the Washington Mystics, with Caitlin Clark hitting a deep three-pointer with 2.5 seconds remaining to secure the 78-76 win. The Fever took a five-point lead in the first quarter, up 21-16, spurred on by 16 of the team's 21 points coming from the duo of Boston (6) and Clark (10). The second quarter saw Indiana expand its lead, in front 43-29, outscoring the Mystics 22-13 led by seven points from Kelsey Mitchell. PWHL San Jose Signs Maddi Wheeler to Two-Year Contract

PWHL PWHL San Jose SAN JOSE, CA - PWHL San Jose today announced that forward Maddi Wheeler has signed a two-year Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) Standard Player Agreement ahead of the team's inaugural 2026-27 season. Wheeler, whose rights were held by the New York Sirens, joins PWHL San Jose on a new deal through the 2027-28 campaign and completes the list of five players to be added to the team during Phase 2 of the PWHL's Expansion Roster Distribution Process. Tim Tawa Named Pacific Coast League Player of the Week

PCL Reno Aces RENO, Nev. - Utility man Tim Tawa has been named the Player of the Week by the Pacific Coast League after an unbelievable return to Reno's lineup this past week in Las Vegas, Triple-A affiliate of the Athletics. The 27-year-old led the Aces with a slash line of .476/.542/1.095 for a 1.637 OPS. He recorded 10 hits, seven of which went for extra bases including three home runs. He also scored eight runs and drove in seven more in his six games.
